I have been seeing these ornament wreaths all over the place and thought it would be a great, easy, and fun DIY project!
Here's what you'll need:
• wire hanger
• ornaments
• bow
• hot glue gun
I bought the ornaments (6 packs) and the bow at the dollar store so the total cost of this project was around $7
If you already have some of the supplies even better!
Bend the wire hanger into the shape you would like your wreath. I decided to go for the classic circle, but you can probably make another shape if you wish.
I purchased 6 packages of these ornaments from the dollar store in small and medium sizes. You can use the hot glue gun at this point to glue the caps on the ornament to make them more secure. I did not use hot glue for mine and they were fine. A few of them popped off but I just reattached them without the glue.
You begin to thread the ornaments onto the wreath as if you were beading a bracelet. I tried to thread the same on each side to make sure the wreath was even.
This is what the wreath looks like once it is finished being threaded with all of the ornaments.
I also purchased this bow from the dollar store and it fit perfectly. After attaching the bow my wreath was ready to hang!
You can decorate the wreath however you like with multiple bows or flowers but it may be easier to hot glue those types of accessories.
Here is a picture of the final project hanging on the wall! This project was very easy and took about an hour to complete. If you decide to hot glue each ornament I would set aside another hour for this DIY.
I hope you enjoyed this DIY project and love your wreath as much as I love mine!
Please let me know if you have any questions or if there are any other DIY projects you would like me to do a tutorial on.
Happy Holidays!!!
